The hui headed out to Makaha to conduct a marine debris inventory. After the opening and pule for the morning, Uncle Kinohi shared some brief mo'olelo and history about the Makaha area. Shortly after everyone broke up into their groups and conducted a marine debris inventory with the use of 20 feet x 20 feet transects. Students then took an inventory of what debris both natural and non-natural were found within their marked transects.
